ANNOTATIONS FOR LESSON EXEMPLAR
(1st Classroom Observation)

Objective 1: Applies knowledge and of content within and across curriculum areas.

Introductory Activity
 In the motivation part, History was integrated with the English subject in such a way that the
students were tasked to that are associated with photosynthesis and let them define the words
they have provided.

Activity
 I have applied my lesson which is chemical reaction to the field of Engineering specifically in the
making of a bridge.

Objective 2: Uses research-based knowledge and principles of teaching and learning to enhance
professional practice.

Abstraction
 Theoretical perspectives of using lecture-discussion method includes the Schema Theory wherein
it uses what students already know by building on their existing background, Meaningful Verbal
Learning by Ausubel wherein it presents information in a systematic way, and Active Learner
Involvement wherein it uses teacher questioning to involve students actively in the learning
process.

Objective 3: Displays proficient use of Mother Tongue, Filipino, and English to facilitate teaching and
learning.

Introductory Activity
 Since English is the medium of instruction of the subject Physical Science, I have set the medium
of instruction to English at the very start of my class.

understanding, participation, engagement, and achievement

Introductory Activity
 At the very beginning of the class, the teacher smiled to convey to the learners that they welcome
in the EIM class and to promote open communication between the teacher and learners.

Analysis
 I have recognized the need to provide positive feedbacks and nonverbal cues for the students to
keep their attention on the lesson.

Indicator 5: Establish safe and secure learning environments to enhance learning through the consistent
implementation of policies, guidelines, and procedures
Introductory Activity
 During the introductory activities, classroom management was done. Rules and regulation on the
classroom were done to have a productive classroom with focused, attentive, and on task students.

 The teacher also reminds the learners about Covid 19 classroom precautions. She reminded the
learners about physical distancing, health and hygiene, and always wearing their face masks to
protect themselves from the virus and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Objective 6: Maintain learning environments that promote fairness, respect, and care to encourage learning

Introductory Activities
 In the motivation, all ideas of the students were accepted.

 The teacher encourages the student to share their ideas on the questions asked. Each students’
answers were given appreciation to promote fairness and respect.

Assessment
 In this activity the learners will work independently thus the teacher encouraged the learners not to
be nervous and said she believed that the learners could answer it.

this group activity
