COVID-19 hfmd dengue

COVID-19
- An airborne disease that are

transmitted through droplets

transmission.

- Spread of COVID-19 occurs when

an infected person coughs, sneezes,

talks, yawns or breathes

hfmd
Hand, foot, mouth disease (HFMD)

- Transmitted through contact

- Spreads when an infected person coughs

or sneezes, contact with contaminated

surfaces and objects

dengue

- Infected by vectors called Aedes mosquito

- There are four dengue virus serotypes:

DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4. They

belong to the genus Flavivirus, family

Flaviviridae (of which yellow fever virus is the

type species), which contains approximately

53 viruses.

types of diseases transmitted

Covid-19 is an airborne disease that are transmitted through droplets

transmission. It can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose

in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, yawn or

breathe. Another person can then contract the virus when infectious

particles that pass through the air are inhaled at short range or if

infectious particles come into direct contact with the eyes, nose, or

mouth which is called droplet transmission

types of diseases transmitted

Hand, foot, mouth disease transmitted through

contact. It spreads by respiratory droplets that

contains virus particles when an infected person

coughs or sneezes as well as contact with

contaminated surfaces and objects.

types of diseases transmitted

Dengue is transmitted by a bite of female Aedes aegypti

mosquito to a person. Only infected mosquitoes transmit

dengue virus. The mosquito contracts the virus when it bites an

infected person. The mosquito is then infective for the rest of its

life and can spread the virus every time it bites someone. It

usually breeds in a water filled container.

causes
- close contact to someone

infected

- poor hygiene

- no ventilation

- weak of immune system

- stagnant water that causes

mosquitoes breed
preventions
- avoid crowds, public gatherings and interacting to

infected person

- practice good hygiene

- good ventilation takes place will reduce the level

of virus in the air and decreasing the risk of infection.

- maintain a healthy lifestyle such as get enough

sleep, eat healthy foods and exercise regularly to

boost immune system

- remove stagnant water
