PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The main objective is to minimize contamination of drinking water at the water dispenser

PROCEDURES USED TO ACCOMPLISH THIS PROJECT

i. Project’s requirements (specific objectives) were identified. Identified requirements were:
a. To design the power supply system
b. To design the sensing unit
c. To design the control circuit
d. To design the switching circuit
ii. Literature review was conducted by checking previous related projects. Such as Voice
based Water Dispensing system. This was done to avoid
a. Doing exactly what is already done.
b. To improve the limitations of previous projects.
iii. Data collection was done by
a. Checking the need of this project in the society through observation.
b. Checking technical information about electronic components to be used
iv. Data analysis was done by
a. Collected data interpretation,
b. Establishment of the relationship between variables and calculation to meet the
objectives of the project.
v. Design of electronic circuit was done. Which involved design of: -
a. Power supply
b. The sensing unit as input
c. Control circuit
d. Switching circuit
e. Finally, integration of the designed parts of the circuit as shown in the Figure 1
below
vi. The designed electronic circuit was simulated in the Proteus version 8.6 and worked as
expected. Below were the calculated and simulated results.

CONCLUSION
The aim of this project is to reduce contamination of drinking water at the water dispenser, the
process to come up with a cup detecting water dispensing system in this project has been done
from the introduction, methodology, data collection, analysis to circuit simulation. The
simulation has been tested and it worked as expected.
