I. Objectives At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
 Determine the roles and powers of the Philippine President;
 Analyze how contemporary Philippine Presidents exercised their powers; and
 Appraise the influence of prior stages of Philippine political developments on
contemporary Philippine politics.
II. CONTENT The historical background of Philippine democratic politics, the executive,
the legislative, the judiciary, and decentralization and local governance.

IV. PROCEDURE
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Before starting the recap, remind the students to always practice the safety protocols
presenting the new lesson mandated by the IATF to ensure that they are protected from the harm of COVID-19 and
other diseases. Recall the lesson about the Doctrine of Check and Balances, BILL OF
RIGHTS, and the Concept of Power against Governmental Acts.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson The students will be shown “taglines” and the students will tell during whose tenure
as President the tagline corresponds to.
