Mix Chart

The given bar graph indicates how many men and women there were in a number of courses in the
evening at an education center for adults in 2009. The pie chart illustrates the students of these classes
divided into 5 different age groups percentagewise.
Overall, Language was the most favoured course by women, while painting was the most popular among
men. It is also clear that the majority of the students are senior citizens, whereas evening classes did not
attract too many young people.

Looking more specifically into the bar graph, regarding drama, 20 females chose this class, while 10
males did so. In addition, the number of females picking painting was 35 , which was 5 people higher
than their male counterparts. Meanwhile, the number of men studyng sculpture was double that of
females, with respective figures being 10 and 5 people. Finally, 20 males enrolled in Language, which
was half of the number of their female counterparts.

Investigation into the pie chart reveals that the percentage of students over 50 was 42%, ahead of that
of those in their fourties and thirdties, with respective figures being north of a forth and 16%.
Furthermore, one out of ten students were between 20-29, approximatly double the proportion for those
under 20.
