APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF INTERNSHIP SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
I would like to apply for the internship Software Engineer which was advertised in Indeed.com. I am
currently pursuing my degree in Computer Science at Universiti Science Malaysia.
I am very interested in developing my career with GenSE. My degree includes many papers that are
directly relevant to the position advertised, and during my undergraduate years, I have been involved
in assisting in project implementations. In the project implementations, my team are required to
work independently by allowing us to be creative and make our own decision. By doing that, we
improved not only our communication and interpersonal skills but also our analytical and critical
skills as a lot of discussions and presentations were necessary.
While being a USM student, I had the opportunity to join the International Mobility & Collaboration
Centre(IMMC) as a buddy where I got the chance to meet many International students. We were
granted a chance to exchange information and knowledge about each other’s culture. Part of my
duty as an IMCC buddy is that I was required to assist the International Students in adapting to the
new environment and help them if they have any inquiry. Hence, this allowed me to enhance my
English communication skills in order to guide the international students. This experience has honed
my skills in being sharp in tending to the needs of others and improved my time management skill as
I need to balance not only my studies but commitment to this society.
During my studies in USM, I had the opportunity to work together in a team to deliver our
assignment. Thus, I am confident that I can assist GenSE as I am someone who is passionate in doing
any type of work. As you can see from my resume, I have a good academic record particularly in
Software Engineering. As a student pursuing Computer Science, I am keen to serve in this
organization as an Internship Software Developer and gain new knowledge and experience during my
internship. Furthermore, I am willing to travel overseas to widen my experience in technical support
and I do possess a valid driving license.

One of my special skill that can benefit the company is that I am also able to communicate in Korean
language. This is because during my studies, I had taken LAK100 which is a Korean language course
that has taught me the basics in communicating in Korean. I am sure that this skill will be useful
during my service.
