I, Joji Paul, a citizen of India have secured a place in the Project Management program in Conestoga
college, Kichener-doon. The educational path leading to the aforementioned program started out
with me completing my secondary schooling in 2014 and my higher secondary in 2016.

Completing the Project Management course would enable me to learn how to manage projects in
any environment being it simple or complicated, and play a pivotal role of an organization’s most
exciting achievements. It would help hone the skills I need to oversee project management activities
such as planning, managing scope, costs, time, in agreement with client expectations. Additionally,
the much-needed exposure to organizational Agility would be achieved with practices such as
Scrum. I would also able to establish goals for any project team and lead them to overcome
obstacles to achieve success, meeting stakeholders needs. To conclude, this program would earn me
project management education hours towards a variety of certifications like Certified Associate in
Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM),
Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations.

The four-year duration during my B-Tech education was what spurred me on to enrol for this
program. During this period, I participated in several group events, academic and non- academic
frequently. There was also the requirement of teaming up with my colleagues for different projects
in each year during this course. I also had the honour of being the team lead in the final year project
of the course and also the mini- project event in the year before. All this exposure to team events
and leadership roles led me to understanding the importance of functioning as a flawless cog in any
organisation, being it in the role of a team member or in the leading role. This realisation is what
empowered me to undergo this program so that I can function as the perfect link or the stronghold
of an organisational team or even efficiently initiate and manage a business on my own.

serve as continuous source of income all throughout the year and help to meet all the financial
requirements of my family. My mother is a homemaker and I have two siblings, a younger brother
and sister, who are in high school and college respectively. As for the IELTS test, I attempted it during
the month of September this year and I passed the same with an overall score of 7.5.
