Letter of Explanation

Growing up with a generation which is moving forward with the technology has not only made
me visualize about the possibilities that future holds but also to find a successful path which
helps me to learn and implement my ideas. While learning the nuances of human language I
was concurrently introduced to the basic concepts in Html and C Programming. The early
introduction has impelled a massive curiosity about all things in computer science and
especially, Programming. Being interested in coding, every academic decision was made in
such a way that they brought me closer to my goals. Thus, I opted Computer Science as major
for my under graduation course at Malla Reddy Engineering College (MREC) in Hyderabad,
and it exposed me to subjects such as “Data Structures”, “Design and Analysis of algorithm”,
“Database Management systems”, “Object Oriented Programming”, “Data Communications
and Computer Networks”, “Software Engineering”, “Operating Systems” etc., which allowed
me to broaden my base of knowledge while gaining practical experience.

While learning the academic syllabi, I also underwent training conducted by IBM for enterprise
application development where practically I gained hands on experience using Eclipse IDE,
which accelerates the development and deployment of Java EE applications. Subsequently, I
led a group of four people on a mini project in developing website called “Fun and Estimation
with Poker”. Through this, I gained experience using Servlets and MVC (Model View
Controller) packages in Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) which helped me in developing
Leadership Management and Convincing skills. The Major Academic project Hybrid Android
Application called “My CRM” exposed me to Work light platform.

My thirst to gain some industrial exposure with respect to practices and systems alongside my
academic curriculum was realized with an opportunity to work at “Flexeye IT Services” as a
“Trainee – Business Analyst” where I had hand’s on training on the core development team of
the project on Risk Intelligence System. I participated in workshops and successfully
completed “Salesforce1 Platform Developer” course conducted by Sales force. Apart from my
academics, I actively participated in extracurricular activities and organized various successful
events like “Dog Expo”, “Dog Show”, “Gaming Zone” in National Level Techno-Cultural
Festival Akshara 2k14, Akshara 2k15. These activities have equipped me with interpersonal
skills. Later I joined Amazon Development Center India”, Hyderabad and currently working as
a “Transaction Risk Investigator” to detect fraudulent transactions of sellers. However I feel
that it’s high time and need to develop an edge to my knowledge towards Computer Science
Engineering, hence decided to broaden my horizon by pursuing a Master’s degree from a well
reputed University.

Canada being one of the top countries offering quality education and safest place for
international students, I chose Canada as my study destination and decided to pursue my
Master in Computer Science at one of the esteemed universities. From a holistic learning
background, I strongly believe that the knowledge I gained during my undergraduate study will
place me in a unique position. With the endeavor to satisfy the curiosity, I decided to pursue
Master of Applied Computer Science at Dalhousie University, to enhance the knowledge and
abilities in the relevant domain. The academic curriculum and infrastructure facilities provided
by Dalhousie University are excellent to pursue graduate studies. The excellent facilities,
eminent faculty, well defined coursework and the vibrant atmosphere of the “Dalhousie
University” have really attracted me to pursue masters to attain a significant career in the area
of Computer Science and Technology. Currently, India is a hub of many outsourcing
companies from different continents. The recent growth in e-commerce companies, IOT
networks has brought in numerous opportunities for Database Architects in India. All the
companies have to understand and interpret the data in order to improve their business. Hence,
post completion of the course, I would like to work in reputed organizations in India as a Data
Expert.
