Goal Statement: Students will be able to describe, talk about and compare places and what people are doing.

Terminal Objectives:
❖ Students will be able to build a range of vocabulary. (Linguistic competence)
❖ Students will be able to pronounce the forms accurately. (Linguistic competence)
❖ Students will be able to learn the relationship between grammatical forms and functions. (Pragmatic
competence)
❖ Students will be able to respond with reasonable speed in ‘real time’. (Fluency)
❖ Students will be able to process language and respond appropriately with a degree of ease. (Fluency)
❖ Students will be able to cope with authentic texts. (Discourse competence)

Description of Students and Proficiency Level: 6th grade of students in a state school, intermediate level

Homework:

Work in pairs and shoot a video. Choose a place like a park/café/school/concert, etc. One of you is at home and
the other is at the place with friends. Make a telephone conversation and ask about people and
what they are doing.

Homeowork should be prepared for the next lesson.
