Praise be to Allah SWT who gave us health and the opportunity
to be at this beautiful place. Thank you for our dearest teachers
that help make this speech possible, and I thank all of you for
listening to my speech that I titled:

“Shaping Your Children”

Children are like clay that harden as they age. They are
shaped by their parents’ education during their early life. Education
of children should be a balance between encouragement and
warning. The most important thing to a child’s growth is to improve
the environment your child lives in, realizing the causes of guidance
for them, namely the commitment of educators and their caregivers
is none other than their parents .

Parents, especially mothers, are quite influential in shaping

their child’s morals. Children are the closest to its mother during
their childhood, starting from the womb, birthing, and caring for
their children.

Children have a lot of needs, including physical needs, such

as milk, and psychological needs, such as love, attention, and
education.

Children who are neglected by their mother, will live

uncomfortably, have bad mannerisms, and are undirected. The
importance of a mother’s attention is described by Ustadz
Muhammad Sayyid who said ;
 It’s quite common if a child feels safe in the protection of
their mothers arms. They will directly run to his mother if they feel
threatened. This such feeling of a child toward his mother is an
important factor to fulfill his heart. So that the mother has the ability
to set an example and teach them good mannerisms

Europe and the USA currently has a lot of uneducated

children in their population, because of mothers that prefer going
out rather than caring for their children. Their children grow up with
no education and direction from their mother as the result.

Once a researcher examined the growth of a child. By

dividing a group of children into two. The first group were those
who were given love from their parents. And the second group were
those who lacks attention from their family. The result was those
who were given love shows significant development, while those
who lacks attention from their parents shows lesser development.

If a mother is kind and polite, then their children surely will

follow their mother’s traits. Thus, if a mother’s character and
mannerisms is bad, then the child will follow too. If a child has a
bad manner, it means a future disaster has already begun.

In conclusion, a child’s personality and traits are influenced

by their mother.

Thus a brief speech that I had to say on this occasion.

Hopefully it will benefit all of us. Thus I apologize profusely,
because nobody is perfect except Allah SWT.
