3. What are the similarities of physical and chemical
change?
4. What are their differences?
5. What are the words helped you in identifying comparing
and contrasting statements?
6. How these words helped in identifying comparing and
contrasting statements.

Ask the students to identify the link expressions or signal words
that express comparison and contrast.

E. Application and Generalization (Elaborate)


Instruct the students to complete the table by categorizing the
sentence if it is comparing or contrasting. Have them write the
signal words used on each sentence.

Ask the students to complete the sentences by filling in the correct

multimodal texts
