TOP TEN INNOVATORS VOTING RULES

1. Eligibility
 The public vote is open to anyone over the age of 18, including family and friends of
participating teams.
 Voting excludes anyone directly involved in organizing the Top Ten Innovators competition.
However, voting is open to Shell staff not directly involved in the competition.
 All names and email addresses will be validated before being counted.

2. How to vote
 Votes can only be made via the public voting tool found on Top Ten Innovators | (livewire.shell)
 The voting window will be open from 19 September, 01:00 AM CET to 9 October, 23:00 CET.
 Users can vote once for one candidate.
 Any attempt to vote a second time for the same candidate from the same name and email address will
be rendered invalid and not counted.
 The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify votes if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that
fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting, at their
discretion.

3. Determination of winners
 Once voting closes and the votes are checked and validated, each candidate will be ranked based on
the number of votes it receives.
 Public votes will contribute to the final selection of winners and runners-up but not
exclusively determine them. Extra points will be added to the judges’ points.
 There will be 1 winner and 2 runners-up per each category for entrepreneurs. Each winner
will receive US $ 20,000 and each runner up – US $ 10,000.
 In addition to a cash award, the 9 winning entrepreneurs will receive mentoring support for a
year. All shortlisted entrepreneurs will benefit from promotion on Shell communication
channels during the competition.
 There will be 1 merit winner per category based on the highest number of public votes.

4. General Terms
 By fact of their participation, the Voter accepts all provisions of these Rules and agree to
abide by all decisions made by the Organizers. The Organizers reserve the right to add,
modify or delete any part of these Rules and are solely empowered to pronounce in cases
not provided for in these Rules.
 If, for any reason, any aspect of a voting process is not capable of running as planned, or if
there is reason to believe that the security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the voting
process is compromised, the Organizers reserve the right to modify, cancel or suspend the
process and determine a winner through a fair method of their sole discretion.
