ACTIVITY National Vaccination Day Phase 2


DATE December 17, 2021
PLACE Lucao Elementary School, Lucao District Dagupan City

I. BACKGROUND

The national government has a framework dubbed as “Bayanihan,


Bakunahan Vaccination Program Phase II” from December 15-17, 2021 to
expediate vaccination of zero-dose individuals. With this, the spirit of “bayanihan”
is embodied wherein it involves the cooperation of the society and all government
agencies by devoting three days vaccination program. In the interest of genuine
public service, our BFP nurses will be deployed regionwide to aid the Local
Government Unit (LGU). The said three-day vaccination will be subject to BFP
Regional Headquarters 1, Implementation Plan, Policies on Covid response and
vaccine related Policies laid by the Office of the Secretary, Department of Health.

II. OBJECTIVES

 To fast-track the efforts of the city government of Dagupan to immunize its


constituents from the Covid-19 virus
 To use government issued vehicles, fire trucks in the deployment and conduct of
monitoring of vaccination activities.
 To deploy of all registered nurses and allied medical practitioners of the station
 To administer first and second dose vaccines to all types of categories including
pediatrics ages 12y/o – 17y/o
 To conduct a safe and successful vaccination program of the government
III. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY

The simultaneous conduct of “Bayanihan Bakunahan Phase II” was participated by


different NGO’s of the city such as PNP and BFP along with the LGU health officers and staff.
For the third day of this activity, only one vaccination site is cited by the LGU to cater residents
due for their initial and second dose of vaccines coming from all types of categories including
pediatrics.
This station had conducted fire safety inspection to the vaccination site/ cold storage
facility prior to the activity, deployed fire suppression team on standby, and deployed nurses at
vaccination sites assigned as vaccinators.

VII. BEST PRACTICES (what went right):

 The venue was disinfected and decontaminated before and after the said vaccination
program to prevent the spread of Covid-19 virus. Also, personnel of BFP Dagupan along
with LGU staffs and barangay family works hand in hand in maintaining the minimum
health protocol like wearing of face mask and social distancing among individual.
