PARKOUR IS NOT TOO DANGEROUS AND SHOULD NOT BE BANNED

Being an urban or rural extreme sport, parkour is not as dangerous as people think. Many
people do not practice it because they do not know the benefits that they may bring. Based
on these, we believe parkour should not be banned.

Parkour is a sport that brings many benefits, some of them physical, social and emotional.
Firstly, practicing parkour can help to develop abilities such as: flexibility, strength, agility,
equilibrium and endurance, and all of them get worked as a result of constant exercise by
the movement of your whole body. Secondly, being in different places and participating in
different tournaments, could be an easier way to connect with other people that shares the
same feeling for this activity. Finally, considering these reasons, the athletes feel more
motivated and satisfied with themselves.

Practicing parkour does not require a gym or any kind of expensive equipment or
accessories, the only thing you need is your body and a place where to practice. Due to the
fact that you do not need to use specific equipment, you can wear anything in which you
could feel more comfortable and freer. Another thing we can consider is that it is not
necessary to follow a routine or a specific exercise for this sport.

On the other hand, for the same reason that special equipment is not required, many
people consider this a very risky sport. In addition, a simple error may cause permanent
physical damage. Lastly, some people can develop fears and even anxiety if they do not
take the proper care.

Taking everything into account, this activity brings a positive impact to the athletes,
because this is economically accessible to many people and an easy way to have fun by
meeting more people with the same hobby. This is why we consider that parkour, known as
an extreme sport, should not be banned.
