I have chosen this topic because

To check if the nutritional benefits found in the fruit will change after boiling.

Research question

Is Vitamin C sensitive to heat ?

Hypothesis & Theory (What do you expect the answer to the RQ to be and why?)
Hypothesis :We suppose that vitamin C is sensitive to heat (high temperature)
Theory : Vitamin C can be destroyed by heat (high temperature)
I expect that vitamin C will be dissolved in water since it is a water soluble vitamin

Controlled variables: orange, tubes, iodine solution, casserole,

Materials\Equipment
2 tubes
4 oranges
1 casserole
Iodine solution
Tube support

Safety & Environmental considerations (proper disposal of the solutions)
 Wear protective gloves
 Do not drink iodine solution after placing it in the orange liquid
 Discard leftover beverages down the drain
 Adult supervision
 Be careful when boiling the oranges
Preparation of the solutions (If any)
