I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:

a. distinguish the types of speeches according to purpose

and delivery;
b. determine the types of speeches used in different real-
life situations;
c. perform one of the speeches

A. Introduction Routinary Activities (15 minutes per meeting)

Classroom Rules
The students will be reminded of the classroom rules before
the start of the lesson.

Reviewing of the Lesson (10 minutes)

The students will give a recap about the previous lesson.

Activity 1 (10 minutes)

The students will look for the seven words as fast as they can
to lead them to the types of speeches.
B. Development

Lesson Proper (45 minutes)

The teachers will discuss the Types of Speeches. The students
will participate on the discussion.

C. Engagement Activity 2 (35 minutes)

Directions: Get to know more how to distinguish the types of
speeches according to purpose and delivery. Check (/) the
appropriate column described by each statement. (The
students to answer the table given by the teacher).

The teacher will ask the students the types of speeches. (10
minutes)

Activity 3 (300 minutes)

Directions: Make a meaningful activity by delivering a simple
speech as a life coach. Perform it in class.
D. Assimilation Assessment 1 (20 minutes)
Directions: Choose the letter of the correct answer. Write your
answers on a separate sheet of paper.
