During the school year 2021-2022. The Phil IRI post test results revealed that
129 of the 206 learners assessed from Grades 7 to 10 were at the Independent
level, with 40 in Grade 7, 21 male and 19 female, 36 in Grade 8, 22 male and 14
female, 25 in Grade 9, 13 male and 12 female, and 28 in Grade 10, 9 male and
19 female.
Instructional Level was assigned to 71 students. There were 19 in grade 7, 14
male and 5 female, 18 in grade 8, 16 male and 2 female, 15 in grade 9, 12 male
and 3 female, and 19 in grade 10, 16 male and 3 female.

Frustration level was assigned to 6 out of 206 people. There are four in grade 7,
three males and one female, and one male in each of grades 8 and 9. And none
of them are categorized as None Readers.

According to the data, the majority of female learners are at the Independent
Level of reading, while many male learners are at the Instructional and
Frustration Levels. It is likely that during the pandemic, most students,
particularly male students, did not thoroughly study their lessons. However, as
a result of the reading intervention that was implemented in the school and the
activities that were assigned to them, the students' reading levels have
improved, and as you can see, none of them are classified as non-readers. And,
due to the ongoing implementation of the reading program and other school
activities, there are times when none of the students fall into the Frustration
Level.

This indicates that there are students who need to improve their reading skills
in order to become Independent or Instructional readers, resulting in a
decrease in the number of students at the Frustration Level.
