Question No.1:

Answer:
I. Ozone Layer

 It’s a layer that contains bluish concentration gas in pungent odor above the
atmospheric layers. This layer is filled by ozone gas (O 3). It’s made up of 3
molecules of oxygen. This layers lies in the stratosphere region which is 10-
15km above the earths atmosphere. The main Purposes of the ozone layer is to
protect the earth’s atmosphere from ultra violet radiations (UV) emitted directly
from sunlight. It acts like a shield to damage the atmosphere layers of earth
planet.

II. Ozone Layer Depletion Effects:

 Human Health:
o High penetration of UV and β radiations cause to damage the adverse effects
on human health like cancer, skin diseases, eye diseases.
 Air Quality:
o Ozone layer depletion by penetrating radiations leads to produce a high photo
dissociation of trace gases which are chemical reacted in troposphere. This
cause to pollutes air quality and it has adverse health effects.
 Terrestrial Plants:
o This act of depletion causes to change in high rate the biodiversity of all
ecosystems. So, this may lead to change all forests and plants nature, growth
and metabolism etc.
 Aquatic Ecosystems
o Ozone depletion cause to disturb the phytoplankton’s process which is a
foundation of aquatic food web. It also effects badly on the reproductive
system and larva development of different types of aquatic animals
 Biochemical Cycles
o Increased the UV radiation cause to change all source and sink of greenhouse
gases and trace gases (Sulphur, Carbon dioxide, Carbon Monoxide etc.) this
creates feedback loop which stimulates gases very badly.

III. Global Warming:
 The rise of temperature at earth by mainly emission of trace gases to
atmosphere and UV rays comes from sunlight, this phenomenon is called global
warming. with the passage of time the earth temperature is gradually increases
due to CFCs (cloro floro carbons) and Carbon dioxide emission by burning of
fossil fuels. This mainly result no energy change in the climate

 Effect on agriculture output:

o Since the global warming causes mainly to change the climate. Thus it reduces
the water contents in the air. So, the probability of rain is reduced. In high
temperature the efficiency of cultivated and agriculture land becomes very low
and it also lessen the soil fertility. These all factors result in less production of
food and hunger in various regions.

IV. Biodiversity:
o It’s mainly deals with the number of living organisms in this ecosystem with
different variety with different diversity, the species of different kind stimulates
the ecosystem growth in healthier and more productive way. Since it complies
that with greater diversity, ecosystem becomes stronger in case of disaster
occur. Now a day, with different kinds activities that are dangerous to
atmosphere and earth such as global warming it has negative impact on
biodiversity
V. Link Between Climate change and biodiversity
o The impact on the atmospheric weather from the mankind activities and with
different kinds of species on earth. These species do not adapt the sudden
changes in the atmosphere due to global warming. Thus in result these are at
high risk of mortality and corrosion. In case of CO2 emission could lead to
calcify, impaired reefs and build corals. With the rise in temperature the
glaciers are melt and rise in sea level results in many low lying islands, these
various species will disappear beneath the waves

Question No.2

Answer:
Environmental effects on fast population growth:
The rapid population growth has very adverse effects on our ecosystem thus
in the result many of the environmental problems have been arising since
this year. These are described below
Over use of land:
 With the rise of population on earth, human’s activities such as defrosting of the
cultivated land, overgrazing of arid zones, extra use of ground and surface
water, these all factors urge to create the nutrients depletion, soil erosion,
continuously damaging vegetation land and extending arid zones respectively
 Farming impact
 . increased population rate effects on the framing by cutting crops, fertilized
zones thus the net production rate of vegetables, fruits have minimized
significantly. This also creates the inflation and famine in the land.

 Habitat destruction
With increased population, high demand in living style possess to construct mega
housing societies, buildings by cutting the Greenland and fertilized zones, thus in
result the natural living resources has demolished.
 Waste production increased
 Land Degradation

Rising demand of enegry

Global warming and climate change
 Depletion of natural resources
 Water resources
 Air resources
