Introduction

Being a student is not easy as it seems as most people think. There are so many challenges
that students are facing everyday. Year 2018, my college life began and I can say that it is not a
joke being a college student. I have experienced a lot of things like adjusting to new environment
and the people around me, managing my time because there are so many tasks that I need to do
and living independently.

Furthermore, the toughest battle that I need to survive is in terms of academic. Every subject
is getting harder every semester that is why I need to give my best in order for me to pass. I need
to double or even triple my efforts in my major subjects without taking for granted the minor
because for me all subjects are important.

Every students dream is to graduate and become who they wanted to be and in order for me
to achieve that, I need to record my grades and evaluate if I have a progress so I will know what
to do next. This is my progress report covering my grades from the first semester when I was a
first year student up to the first semester of my second year in college.

First year first semester, I have enrolled in nine (9) subjects that is equivalent to twenty-

I am grateful that I was able to pass all of my subjects during the Academic Year 2018-
2019. I gave my very best and put a lot of efforts in achieving those grades that is why I am
grateful to the Almighty God for giving me the strength and wisdom as I continue this journey of
mine.

Academic Year 2019-2020 started on the month of August due to the changes given by
the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) to all State Universities in the country. During my
second year first semester, I have enrolled in ten (10) subjects that is equivalent to twenty-nine
(29) units in total. I have four (4) major subjects this semester.

This semester is very challenging because I have experienced many things like sleeping
late at night just to study or to make a report, skipping a meal just to finish the requirements and
the likes. However, those sacrifices and hard work of mine is really worth it when I received my
grades and find out that I passed all of my subjects this semester. I am really proud and grateful
for it.

Based on the illustration above, my grade in first year first semester is higher than my
grade in first year second semester which means that I do not have any progress instead my
performance is decreasing. However, on the second year first semester, my grade increased and
it is higher compared to the two semesters of my first year. It implies that I have an
improvement and that I was able to get back on my tract.

Conclusion

Student's life is both a challenge and an opportunity. Challenge to do your best in every
situation and opportunity to grow as a person. Making a mistake is inevitable but what is
important is the lesson you have learned from that mistake and how you use it for everyone's
sake.

My journey as a college student is not yet done. There are still many years and semesters
that I need to survive, failures to experience and problems to face before I can have the victory
and success to celebrate. I know that I still have a long way to go but when God is with me, I can
make it through.
