Q1 : "Vacuum tube" represents the vacuum pumping inside the glass bottle to facilitate the
flow of free electrons and effectively reduce the oxidation loss of the filament. Transistor is a
solid-state semiconductor device, which can be used for detection, rectification, amplification,
switching, voltage stabilization, signal modulation and many other functions. As a kind of
variable switch, transistor controls the current flowing out based on the input voltage.
Therefore, transistor can be used as a current switch. Different from general mechanical switch,
transistor is controlled by electrical signal, and the switching speed can be very fast.
examples of semiconductor materials: Diode, transistor, thyristor

Q2:memory devices have USB,CD,DVD,MO,RAM and ROM

RAM stands for random-access memory. RAM contains bytes of information and the
microprocessor can read or write to those bytes depending on whether the RD or WR line is
signaled. RAM chips is that they forget everything once the power goes off.
ROM stands for read-only memory. A ROM chip is programmed with a permanent collection of
pre-set bytes.

Q3:CAD(computer-aided design) EDA(Electronic design automation)

VHDL(VHSIC Hardware Description Language) PLA(programmable logic array)
FPGA(field programmable gate array) MIPS(Million Instructions Per Second)
