Upon motion of Councilor Michael M. Joseph., duly seconded, the following Municipal
Ordinance was enacted:

MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 94-163 (A)

Authors: All Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF THREE

HUNDRED PESOS (P300,000) OR SO MUCH THEREOF AS
MAYBE NECESSARY, AS EXPENSES FOR THE CELEBRATION
OF THE ARAW NG MAKATI, 324TH FOUNDATION DAY ON
JUNE 1, 1994, THE AMOUNT TO BE TAKEN OUT FROM THE
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES FUND OFFICE OF THE MAYOR, UNDER
THE APPROVED EXECUTIVE BUDGET CY 1994, SUBJECT TO
ALL LEGAL AND AUDITING RULES AND PROCEDURES.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Makati will celebrate Araw ng Makati on June
1, 1994, its 324th Foundation Day;

WHEREAS, this traditional and annual celebration has lined up various activities keeping
in mind the historical values of Makati, national and town traditions and its dynamic
progress;

WHEREAS, one feature of the celebration is to give recognition and honor to outstanding
citizens and residents of Makati, both from the government and private sector, who have
served and helped Makati and its constituents;

WHEREAS, as part of Makati’s heritage, cultural and historical value,. it is necessary to

appropriate an amount which will be used as expenses for the celebration of the Makati
Day.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, AS IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED, by the

SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, BY VIRTUE OF THE
POWERS VESTED IN IT BY LAW, THAT:

Section 1. the amount of Three Hundred Thousand Pesos (P300,000) is hereby

appropriated to defray the expenses to be incurred in celebrating the Araw Ng Makati’s
324th Foundation Day on June 1, 1994.

Section 2. The appropriated amount shall be taken out from the Special Activities Fund,
Office of the Mayor, subject to all legal and auditing rules and procedures.

Section 3. This Municipal Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
