“A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE JEREMIAS C. SINGSON GOVERNOR

PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AT LEAST FIFTEEN (15) SOLAR
POWERED STREET LIGHTS IN BARANGAY DEAN LEOPOLDO YABES (PUG – OS), SINAIT, ILOCOS
SUR FOR THE SAFETY AND PROTECTION OF OUR CONSTITUENTS AND MOTORISTS
DURING NIGHTIME.”
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the Local Government Code of 1991 empowers the Local Government Unit to
enact ordinances and pass resolutions for the general welfare of the municipality and its inhabitants
pursuant to general welfare clause, and in particular, the promotion of peace and order and public
safety;
WHEREAS, section 33 of the same Code provides that the local government units may, through
appropriate ordinances, group themselves, consolidate, or coordinate their efforts, services, and
resources for purposes commonly beneficial to them;
WHEREAS, when solar street lights are installed, it reduces the accidents, crime, and other incidents that
transpire during nighttime
WHEREAS, it can be an effective way to protect the constituents in our Barangay Dean Leopoldo Yabes
(Pug – os),Sinait, Ilocos Sur from any unforeseen events that may wreak havoc on the public order;
WHEREAS, it generates a safer environment, and boosts economic development for the people of
Barangay Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug – os) Sinait, Ilocos Sur to continue to thrive and progress in our
community;
WHEREAS, upon motion of Sangguniang Barangay member. HON. CHRISTOPHER Y. DEL ROSARIO
and Sangguniang Barangay member, HON. FLORANTE A. PAGUD duly seconded by all, it was.

RESOLVED IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to request the povincial government through Hon. Jeremias C.
Singson, province of Ilocos Sur for the construction of at least Fifteen (15) solar powered street lights of
Barangay Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug – os), Sinait, Ilocos Sur for the safety and protection of our
constituents and motorists during nigh time.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution shall be furnished to the office of the Provincial
Governor of Ilocos Sur for proper action and approval.
APPROVED this 3rd day of Feruary 2024, at Barangay Session Hall Barangay Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug
– os), Sinait, Ilocos Sur’.
