The Contractor confirms herewith this document has been executed & coordinated strictly as per the approval of drawings from
the authorities and approved specifications from the engineering consultant.
STATUS OF QA / QC DEPARTMENT
☐ Approved ☐ Approved As Noted ☐ Re-Submit
Comment/s:
1. Contractor should comply all the comments as per projection specification – “SECTION 221429 -
SUMP PUMPS” and “SECTION 221123 for “DOMESTIC WATER PUMPS” and its controls and
Sequence of operation.
2. Basement to ground floor height approximately taken (+3.5 M to 3.5 M = 7 Meter) due to the
non-availability of Approved Schematic Drawing.
3. Pipe size, pipe length and fitting quantity considered from design drawing (it was measured
Approximately +/-) since considered the safety factor 20%. So pipe routing and length will not
affect during the MEP coordination drawing preparation. In case any major changes submit
separate drawing and approval to be obtained.
4. Safety factor to be confirmed by design Team- as per the calculation for SUMP Pump 15%
irrigation pump-20% , Booster & Transfer pump safety factor considered as 20%.
5. Contractor must submit shop drawings showing pump type, capacity, certified pump curves
showing pump performance characteristics with pump and system operating point plotted.
Include NPSH
(Net positive suction head) curve when applicable and include electrical characteristics.
6. Booster pumps calculation loading units verified with nomogram chart and as per design
drawings.
7. Booster pumps calculation the shower pressure considered 2 bar, design team to be confirmed.
8. Pump type, material of construction of pumps, electric motor specification details to be
submitted in the material submittal.
9. All Pump startup arrangements to be comply as per the approved and Dewa requirements &
regulation.
10. Supplier confirmation required for the selection of pumps as per the project designs.
11. All pump panels shall have control for auto sequencing, fused circuit for each motor, main
disconnect switch, selector switch for each pump, power on indicator light, run/trip indicators.
12. Pump Control panel U/L certificate should be provided, and Cable size and Breaker rating should
be as per DEWA requirements.
13. According to the pump selection schedule pump head and flow rates considered as follows: -
Domestic booster pump: - (Head 2.8 bar : Flow rate 5.107 L/s – 1D+1S) -4 FLOORS
Domestic Transfer pump: - (Head 9.3 bar : Flow rate 13 L/s – 1D+1S)
Irrigation pump: - (Head 2.5 bar : Flow rate 3 L/s – 1D+1S)
Sump pump: - (Head 2.5 bar : Flow rate 5 L/s – 1D+1S)
14. Provide hygienic certificate showing that the selected pump package is suitable for drinking
water.
15. All pumps shall be factory assembled & tested.
16. Subject to material Submittal approval.
