    Why is the study of history important to young Filipinos like you?

    It is important to us young Filipinos to study history, to know we we’re came from and to know
    other lessons about in our country’s past. It can help in tracing the roots of the Filipino people
    and to serves as a tool in identifying commonalities in our culture and experiences. Also
    learning our history enables us to develop much better understanding of our country in which
    we live. Building knowledge and understanding of historical events and trends, especially over
    the past century, enables us to develop a much greater appreciation for current events today.
