Question Number 1:
 Research and discuss the uses of open-ended or productivity software applications to the
attainment of TTL.

Productivity software makes people more efficient and effective in their daily activities. This
software is becoming more popular and more in demand to learn for employment. The three popular
applications are word processing, spreadsheet, and database. All three programs are very useful
programs

 Word processing is widely used to create or edit a typed document. In this program you can
change the format of your work like color, text size etc… This program also allows you to add clip
art, change margins, spell check, header and footer et.
 A spreadsheet is used to organize data in rows and columns in a worksheet. Data is stored in
cells that are divided in columns and rows. More than 15 million cells can hold data. Cells can
hold numbers, formula or functions. When data in one cell is changed all of them that are
affected will change automatically. Most spreadsheets allow you to create macros, which hold a
series of keystrokes and instructions. Most programs have the ability to create charts, which is a
huge advantage
  A Database is a system that collects data and allows access, retrieval and use of the data. Data
is stored in tables, which consists of rows and columns. Data could contain text, numbers, dates
or hyperlinks. When data is entered the program can validate it by comparing a set value or it
may have established rules. Once the data is stored, you can sort it, query it, and generate
reports from it. This is sometimes referred to as a database management system.   It is far easier
to use instead of writing all the information down.

Question Number 2:
 Research and discuss comprehensively what have you learned about Detailed Lesson
Planning.

A lesson plan serves as a guide that a teacher uses every day to determine what the students
will learn, how the lesson will be taught as well as how learning will be evaluated. Lesson plans
enable teachers to function more effectively in the classroom by giving a detailed outline that they
adhere to during each class. This helps to  make sure that every moment spent in class is used
to teach meaningful concepts  and have worthwhile discussions rather than figuring out what you
are supposed to do as time goes on. Lesson plans generally consist of essential components such as
objectives, requirements, resources, procedures, and evaluation techniques. Since every part of an
effective lesson plan has an impact on the learning process for students, it is crucial to handle them
by taking a strategic approach. The basis of creating a lesson plan is the objectives of learning and
giving learners a chance to discover, establish, and demonstrate what they are taught.
It facilitates a learning environment that focuses on the class as a whole rather than
concentrating on the teacher.
All effective teachers have a plan that they consider when they deliver training. The plan may be
a simple list or a more complex system  that is structured and detailed. Lesson plans are
essential tools that teachers develop to guide their training sessions. They are properly planned,
prepared, and executed to achieve specified learning outcomes. A conventional lesson plan usually
consists of details pertaining to the lesson, the outcomes that will be addressed and the method that
will be used as well as the materials and activities that will be included to engage and evaluate the
students. The last part of a lesson plan deals with the assessment session from both the teacher’s
and student’s standpoint.

Question Number 3:
 Research and discuss comprehensively what have you learned about Semi-Detailed Lesson
Planning.

A semi-detailed lesson plan is less intricate than the detailed lesson plan. It is having a general
game plan of what you wanted to cover for that subject on that particular day. An objective
statement itself should answer what students will be able to do by the end of the lesson. P lanning for
a lesson is a teacher's detailed description of a lesson which is prepared before they start teaching. It
covers the learning trajectory and course of action for each lesson taught and acts as a
comprehensive daily guide for what students are going to learn. It also gives insight into how it will
be taught. It's useful to think about how a student's learning can be measured, as this really shows
how useful the lesson was and what needs to be improved and worked upon in future lessons. The
plan itself will vary based on each teacher's individual preference, what subject is being covered in
the lesson as well as the needs of each student in the class.

Planning a lesson is a really effective tools to use in the classroom, it makes the best use of class
time and ensures as much lesson time as possible is used to teach new concepts, build on students'
prior knowledge and to promote meaningful discussions. It gives teachers a detailed outline to follow,
so it helps them be even better teachers. It plays a role in the learning experience of students and
how engaged they will be in their subjects.

Even if it can feel a little overwhelming to pin down specific objectives and outcomes for every
lesson you teach, approaching students with a clear path in mind is so important to get your entire
class on the right track. That isn't to say it's always a bad thing if lessons follow their own path,
sometimes lessons need to be adapted in the moment to address individual student concerns or
ideas. Yet most of the time, you at least need some context of what your lesson is trying to achieve
to ensure it is successful. The idea of what the lesson will about should be shared with students, so
they are aware of what they should be learning.

Question Number 4:
 Research and discuss comprehensively what have you learned about 4 A’s Lesson Planning.

Lesson plans are an important part of education. They're a written plan of what a teacher will do
in order to achieve the goals during the school day, week, and year. Typically, lesson plans follow a
format that identifies goals and objectives, teaching methods, and assessment. These basic
components can be modified in many ways depending on specific student and teacher needs.
The 4-A lesson plan model focuses on four main concepts. Each is necessary for student success, and
by identifying how they will be used in instructional practices, teachers ensure they are front-and-
center. The four components are:

1. Activate prior knowledge

2. Acquire new knowledge
3. Application
4. Assessment

These somewhat broad categories, which we'll narrow down in a bit, allow teachers to make sure
students are ready to learn. By activating prior knowledge, students make important connections to
past learning and prepare their brains for new content. New content is presented and taught, then
applied to real-world or past situations. Finally, an assessment is given to determine student
understanding. Let's dig a bit deeper into these components.

Activating Prior Knowledge

What does it mean to activate prior knowledge, and how can teachers accomplish this? The term
simply refers to tapping into a student's previous experience with the topic. For example, if the new
learning is oceanic life, a teacher could activate students' prior knowledge by connecting to other life
forms they studied, or asking students to share experiences about the ocean. In fact, many
instructional methods can be used to activate prior knowledge, including:

Question Number 5:
 Research and discuss comprehensively what have you learned about Syllabi Making.

A syllabus is a document that contains important information about your class. Typically, for an online
course, this information includes:

 Biographical and contact information for the instructor: a paragraph about the instructor’s
background and relevant qualifications for teaching the class.
 Course description: a paragraph that explains what the course is about.
 Course materials: a list of textbooks and/or computer software (if applicable) that students
will need to participate in the course.

Since the syllabus contains a lot of policy related items that may not be all that interesting to
students, you may want to take a few extra steps to spice up your syllabus. Weimer (2011) suggests
posing some questions in the course description that pique students’ curiosity about the subject.
Explain to students that they will be able to answer these questions throughout the quarter as they
complete the assignments and engage with the course materials. In the instructor biography, say a
few words that show your passion for the subject and your excitement about teaching.
