Task
Imagine a user is looking at a page with a title and images on it. In this HitApp, we are going to be rating how well images
are associated with the title of a page. Your task is to determine how well the given collection of images represents the
title.

What is a Collection?
A collection is a logical set of images under a single title representing a unified topic or
theme. Collections consist of high-quality, rich content. In this HitApp, you will be Use the Search Links Provided

When choosing a bad rating, you are also required to select one or more of the reasonings provided.
Understanding the labels
Labels represent the quality of the image collection set. When choosing a label, consider all the images in the given set
and judge them as a collection.

Questions to consider when choosing a label:

- Are all the images in the given set related to the title?
- Does it make sense to group these images in one set?
- Do each of the images in the collection add additional value to the user ?

the same title (they make a logical grouping)
✓ Highly attractive
✓ Interesting and best represent the title

BAD: When choosing “bad” rating, you will be required to select one or more of the reasons below
ONE OR MORE OF THE IMAGES: ✓ Is a duplicate or identical (clones, possibly in different
sizes)
✓ Are closely identical to one another and do not add
additional value to the collection
✓ Has Poor Image Quality
✓ Is not related to the given title
✓ The Title of the collection does not make sense

Additional Considerations
Similar Images That Add Value
Some collections will intentionally show different angles / aspects of the same product or subject. Decide if the
differences between the images add additional value to the title by either showing different parts of the subject or
providing additional context. In some cases, even images that look like others can provide additional value if they’re
able to offer the user something that the other images don’t.

To be a good collection, all images should be unique and intentionally show different aspects of the subject being
displayed.

Judging Image Quality

Below are some examples of good quality images versus bad quality images. Blurry images are bad quality. If ANY of the
images in a collection are of bad quality, the entire collection should be judged as bad.

Watermarks
Images with watermarks that do not distract or obstruct the content in the image are acceptable and should not affect
the rating. If one or more of the images in a collection contain a watermark that is distracting or covering the image,
affecting its quality, this collection should be judged as “bad”.

Label: Good
Reason: The watermark on this image is off to the side and
small. It does not block the image or distract the subject of the
image. This image would make a good addition to a collection.

Label: Good
Reason: The watermarks are above and below the main image.
They provide additional information to the image and do not
distract the subject of the image (the hotel room). This image
would make a good addition to a collection.

Label: Bad
Reason: The watermarks on this example cover the image. It is
light but seen over the entire image. It distracts the viewer
from seeing the focus of the image.
