Compare & Contrast!

Research about Neo-colonialism, Internationalism, and Globalism. Then, compare and contrast them using the VENN
DIAGRAM.!

Neo-colonialism - is the continuation or reimposition of imperialist rule by a state (usually, a former colonial power) over another nominally
independent state (usually, a former colony). Neocolonialism takes the form of economic imperialism, globalization, cultural imperialism and
conditional aid to influence or control a developing country instead of the previous colonial methods of direct military cont rol or indirect political
control (hegemony).

Neocolonialism differs from standard globalization and development aid in that it typically results in a relationship of dependence, subservience, or
financial obligation towards the neocolonialist nation. This may result in an undue degree of political control or spiraling debt obligations,
functionally imitating the relationship of traditional colonialism. Neocolonialism frequently affects all levels of society, creating neo-colonial systems
that disadvantage local communities, such as neo-colonial science.

Internationalism - is a political principle that advocates greater political or economic cooperation among states and nations. It is
associated with other political movements and ideologies, but can also reflect a doctrine, belief system, or movement in itself.

Globalism - refers to various patterns of meaning beyond the merely international. It is used by political scientists, such as Joseph Nye, to
describe "attempts to understand all the interconnections of the modern world—and to highlight patterns that underlie (and explain) them."
While primarily associated with world-systems, it can be used to describe other global trends. The concept of globalism is also classically
used to distinguish the ideologies of globalization (the subjective meanings) from the processes of globalization (the objective practices). In
this sense, globalism is to globalization what nationalism is to nationality.
