Hello, teacher. The american Tradition that I chose is Thanksgiving

In 1863 in the midst of the Civil War President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a
national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November.
Thanksgiving is celebrated every fourth Thursday of November. This year occurs on
Thursday, November 26.
Americans generally believe that their Thanksgiving is modeled on a
1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of
Plymouth and the Wampanoag people.
The holiday traditionally is often the busiest of the year, as family
members gather with one another.
This holiday is special because it isn't focused on presents or extravagant
decorations; it's about sitting down for a delicious meal, surrounded by friends, loved
ones and family. It’s also to be grateful for the many things you had during the year.
Thanksgiving meals typically include turkey, bread stuffing, mashed
potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie.
I have never experienced this holiday, but I have seen in many movies
how special this tradition is for them. I personally admire that because
It’s amazing how people visit each other ,just to give thanks for the
good or bad things in their lives.and to appreciate what we have, who we
are, and where we are right now. And for that opportunity in and of itself, we
are thankful that makes thanksgiving special for Americans
I would like us as salvadorians take that example and celebrate that
tradition in our country.
Salvadoran Independence Day is September 15,
1821.

El Salvador was originally the home of the Indigenous Cuzcatlecs and

some Mayans.

The Spaniards colonized the region in 1524.

In 1609, the region became part of the Spanish Captaincy General of

Guatemala.

Salvadoran Independence Day

It commemorates the day on September 15, 1821 when a regional
congress in Guatemala City signed “The Act of Independence of
Central America.”

El Salvador was fortunate in that it didn’t have to fight a war to

become independent.

Federal Republic of Central America

The original Federal Republic of Central America of 1823 was based
on the territory of the Captaincy General of Guatemala of New Spain
which included what are now Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras,
Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

The Republic of El Salvador

The modern state of El Salvador was formed in 1841.
