Bapco certified Operator, ensure all personnel on deck should wear the life jacket
and make sure that the barge should contain life buoys with rope for reterving the
person falling into water, Ensure the Bapco emergency procedure is
communicated to all crew, make use of proper access provided. Proper
communication to be maintained by radio/IS Phone. Inspect all the tools and ropes
before use. Check the weather forecast before proceeding .
Bapco certified, experienced winch operator. Stay away from operating area.
Proper PPE, life jacket, Be away from the edge of the barge, proper supervision.

Never place hand / fingers on pinch points and line of fire, wear heavy duty gloves,
use inspected and good conditioned hammer, keep fingers away from pinch points
and keep people out of line of fire while using hammer.
Dropping the anchor exactly by maintaining proper degree at GPS point as
specified in the permit. Bapco certified winch and lifting accessories should be
used. Certified rigger to be present, follow correct manual handling techniques.
Anchoring Position to be checked by rigging supervisor before dropping the
anchor
Lift, lower and swing the load slowly without sudden acceleration or stoppage only
in emergency. Ensure deck surface is free from trip hazards and slippery materials,
no hoisting at the high tidal and windy conditions. Providing the load with leading
line.

6 Working Environment
7 Demobilization of “A” Frame barge and secure to Freight jetty
Heat stress, COVID 19 All personnel on barge to wear life jacket at all times, Adequate drinking water
facility (Drink from individual bottles, no bottle/glass sharing-COVID precaution),
frequent rest breaks, only limited manpower in the barge, no overcrowding, safe
distancing policy, COVID 19 awareness through TBT’s, Awareness and compliance
of Bapco COVID protocol and always wear face mask.
Damaged rope ,improper communication Bapco certified Operator, Proper PPE, life jacket, make use of proper access
provided. Proper communication to be maintained by using radio/telephone.
Before leaving the work site on completion of work, the area shall be checked for
proper house-keeping, remove all tools etc.
