Week 29 - Lesson Plan

Week 29 – Day 1
Objectives: Recognize letter T, phonics and vocabulary
Lesson: Introduction of letter T (Phonics and vocabulary)

 Greet the students “Good Morning/Good Afternoon”


Warm-up (3mins)
 Review the previous taught verbs
 Sing Hello Song
 Greeting:
 Ask to them “How’s the weather” and What day is it today?
 Circle Time:  Review letter S phonics and vocabulary
 Sing ABC song

 Introduce Letter T vocabulary: Turtle, tomato, tiger, tree.


 Show them the related flashcards and try to be sure that
everyone can see it. Everybody has to repeat the n ew
vocabulary least 1 to 3 times after the main teacher.
Presentation (5mins):
 Notes: If some kids are having problems during the repetition, we
need to help them during the process.

Activities (10mins): · Materials: Worksheets, crayons, table cloths, stamps.

Select and Color Q · Instructions: Don’t forget to prepare the worksheets in advance.

· Give one worksheet and a crayon set to each student.


· Show them how to color first.
· Ask to students to color the tomatoes and also inside the
letter T.
· Support teachers should help out as needed.

Goodbye (2mins)  Review Letter T vocabulary. Repeat if it necessary. Then say,


“Goodbye!”

Letter T Bowling  Instructions:

 Put photos of T and S alphabet and vocabulary on the bottles


and line them up in front of the kids. The kids will answer
what bottles they managed to hit.
 Teacher will ask “What’s this?” or “What letter is this?”
 For the activity not to be disorganize, make sure that the kids
are sitting down while waiting for their turn.

and magnets behind.
Alphabet Tree
 Instructions:

 Split the class into two groups.


 Put the Tree trunks on the board (we can use a small board
for group no.2) and all the leaves on the floor
 Call the students one by one and ask: Oh no! There’re so
many leaves on the floor! Where is letter T? and the student
has to pick the leave with letter T on it and put on the tree.

 Review Letter T vocabulary. Repeat if it necessary. Then say,

Week 25 – Day 4
Objectives: Halloween!
Lesson: Halloween vocabulary and game

Warm-up (3mins)
 Greet the students “Good Morning/Good Afternoon”
 Review the previous taught verbs
 Greeting: Teacher
greets/introduce  Sing Hello Song
 Ask to them “How’s the weather” and What day is it today?
 Review letter T phonics and vocabulary
 Sing ABC song
 Circle Time:

 Introduce Halloween vocabulary: Monster, Ghost, pumpkin,


Vampire.
Presentation (5mins):  Show them the related flashcards and try to be sure that
everyone can see it. Everybody has to repeat the new vocabulary
least 1 to 3 times after the main teacher.
 Use actions or funny movements to make easy for them to
remember the new words.

 Notes: If some kids are having problems during the repetition, we


need to help them during the process.

Activities (10mins):  Materials: Paper Plates, 6 or 8 small squares of origami paper


(For paste it on the paper plate as a background color), eyes and
Paper Plate Monster Craft ears (made with color papers).

 Instructions: Don’t forget to prepare the materials in advance.

 Teacher needs to show them how to do it on the board, step


by step.
 Glue the small squares of origami paper and be sure that the
paper is covering all the paper plate.
 Then, glue the eyes, the mouth and the ears.
 And the monster is done!

 Review Halloween vocabulary. Repeat if it necessary. Then say,
