Week 51 Lesson Plan

Week 51 - Day 1

Objectives: Alphabets review


Lesson: From letter A to letter M - Review (13 letters in total)
· Greet the students “Good Morning/Good Afternoon”
· Review the previous taught verbs
Warm-up (3mins) · Sing Hello Song
· Ask to them “How’s the weather”
· Greeting
· Ask “What day is it?” Say “It’s____ today” and Sing Days of the week
· Circle Time song.
· Review Shapes vocabulary

 Sing ABC song.


Presentation (5mins)  Review the Alphabets from Letter A to Letter M.
 Show them the related flashcards and try to be sure that everyone
can see it. Everybody has to repeat the new vocabulary at least 3
times after the main teacher.

 Notes: If some kids are having problems during the repetition, we


need to help them during the process.

· Materials: A3 size laminated pizza picture (with letters written on it),


Activities (10mins): Small Laminated pictures of Pizza Ingredients (with letter written on
· Make a pizza! Matching it), magnets (for stick the ingredients on the pizza). We need to
activity prepare 2 sets for this activity.

· Instructions: Don’t forget to prepare all the materials in advance.


· Split the class into two groups.
· Teacher has to show how to do it first as an example.
· Ask to the students (one by one) to pick one ingredient and ask
“What letter is this?”
· Once the student answer correctly, the kid has to put the ingredient
on the pizza matching the letters.

· Review Alphabets. Repeat if it necessary. Then say, “Goodbye!”

· Spoon Obstacle Game Alphabet flashcards. We need to prepare 2 sets for this activity.

· Instructions: Don’t forget to prepare all the materials in advance.


· Split the class into two groups.
· Teacher has to show how to do it first as an example.
· Make a Zig Zag on the floor with the tape.
· Ask to the student to hold the ball using the spoon and walk over the
zig zag tape and put the ball inside the basket.
· One teacher will wait at the end of the course with the flashcards on
the floor and will ask “Where is letter___?” and the student has to
point the correct letter.

Goodbye (2mins) · Review Alphabets. Repeat if it necessary. Then say, “Goodbye!”

· Greeting:
· Ask “What day is it?” Say “It’s____ today” and Sing Days of the week
· Circle Time: song.
· Review Shapes vocabulary

· Sing ABC song.


Presentation (5mins)  Review the Alphabets from Letter N to Letter Z.
 Show them the related flashcards and try to be sure that everyone
can see it. Everybody has to repeat the new vocabulary at least 3
times after the main teacher.

· Materials: Pictures of Letters from N to Z.


Activities (10mins):
• Musical Letters Game!
· Instructions: Don’t forget to prepare all the materials in advance.
· Split the class into two groups.
· Teacher has to show how to do it first as an example.
· Put all the letters on the floor making a circle.
· The student has to walk around the letters (same as musical chairs)
while the teachers are singing a song (can be London bridge), once
the teachers stop singing, the student has to stop walking around the
letters.
· Teacher will ask for the letter that is in front of the kid, and the kid
has to answer correctly.

· Review Alphabets. Repeat if it necessary. Then say, “Goodbye!”

Activities (10mins): tape.
· Balloon game! Sticky letters
· Instructions: Don’t forget to prepare the materials in advance.

· Split the class into two groups.


· Teacher has to show how to do it first as an example.
· Put the letters on the floor 2 or 1 meter from the kids and put
some tape at side of each letter.
· Ask to the student to pick one balloon and walk directly to the
letters (the balloon doesn’t have to touch the floor)
· Once they finish, they have to let the balloon fall over the letters
and ask for the letter where the balloon felt down and stick.

Goodbye (2mins) · Review Alphabets. Repeat if it necessary. Then say, “Goodbye!”
