Instructions:

Before starting the game, print two copies, cut them out and laminate for better hold.

Pre-teach sport vocabulary before playing the game

Play in small groups (4-6). One of the students shuffles and deals 3-5 cards to each player. If they have a
pair they face them down in front of them.

The goal of the game is to make identical pairs and to do that students have to ask questions: “Do you
play/go/do……?”

 If the person who has been asked has the card he/she could say: “Yes, I do” and gives the card to
the player. Player 1 puts the pair in front of him/her.
 If the student asked hasn’t got the card he/she must say: “No, I don’t” Go fish!” and the first
player takes a card from the deck.

If a player hasn’t got more cards he/she takes a new card from the pile and continues playing until there
are no more cards in the pile. The winner is who has made more pairs at the end of the game.

What season is it?

In this season the snow melts, the nature awakes
from its winter sleep. The weather is warm and
sunny, sometimes rainy. Plants start to grow, flowers
bloom, birds come back from the south, and baby
animals are born. People work in the garden and
plant seeds. We celebrate Easter.
This season includes months: March, April, May.

In this season the weather gets colder. It is often
windy and rainy. But sometimes it is sunny - this we
call “the Indian summer”. The leaves of trees are
colourful and fall down. Birds fly to the south. School
year starts. Kids can fly kites. We celebrate All Saints’
and All Souls’ Day. English people celebrate
Halloween. This season includes months: September,
October, November.

In this season the days are long. The weather is nice,
but when it’s too hot it can be stormy. Fruits and
vegetables ripe, we start to harvest them. School
finishes and kids have 2 months long holiday. We can
go to the beach, sunbathe and swim. This season
includes months: June, July, August.

In this season the days are short. It gets dark very
early. It is cold, snowy, and freezing. Everything is
white. There are icicles hanging down from roofs and
roads are slippery. Children build snowmen, go
sledging, skiing, ice skating, or snowboarding. We
celebrate Christmas and New Year’s day when we
make fireworks. This season includes months:
December, January, February.
