The Shrouded Hate for Men

Misandry is a massive problem in today’s society. It is accepted as normal and feasible to have
prejudice against men due to women’s social movements, known as feminist movements. Some
women feel it is their right to criticize all men for the actions of a small number of them, but they are
unaware that by doing so, they are actually modeling the discriminatory behavior of men. Misandry
has effects such as the inconvenience towards building a foundation of equality, and it has more
remarkable implications to the society.

The inconvenience towards building a foundation of equality is an effect of misandry. Women are
expected to be relationship oriented, caring and altruistic in acting for the good of others rather than
their own self-interest. Men, by contrast, are expected and allowed to be individualistic, active and
competitive and to act self-interestedly. These stereotypes create common social expectations of
what is "normal" and departure from them can often be socially penalised as mentioned by Gaze
(2022). The community does not value women’s work as highly as men’s as this is where misandry
comes in which makes gender equality less attainable. Misandry has more remarkable implications
because it destabilizes the society as a whole. If there are men in this world that have contempt
against women, adding misandry is reluctant from bringing society together.

To conclude, it is certain that misandry has its own consequences that bring concern in today’s
world. While some men are not always sensitive of people who are the target of discrimination, not
all men are bad, and not all men discriminate. It's crucial to keep in mind that societal constraints
and expectations placed on males by society also affect them. It's time to put an end to the
accusation together to fight for equal pay and fairness among everyone as whole. Every element is
crucial for a fair and healthy society.
