Aim

- To allow University of Nottingham sport club members to store equipment at the


designated space in storage room.

Policy Statement
1.1 All equipment purchased for the club becomes the property of the University of
Nottingham Sports Complex.
1.2 Equipment will be stored at sports complex storage room, and signed out for use by
club members in the standard manner.
1.3 The club president and equipment manager are responsible for all equipment
maintenance.
1.4 The sport clubs re responsible to take precautions to ensure that the equipment
meets safety standards and regulations.
1.5 All costs incurred should be included in the club’s budget.
1.6 Sport Clubs president and equipment manager shall complete a thorough inspection
of all equipment and submit an accurate inventory of club equipment and authorized
person details form during the beginning of the club session.
1.7 All equipment should be used properly for its intended purpose and should remain in
its established location.
1.8 Wipe down all equipment after use with spray disinfectant and cleaning towels. Do
not spray on the equipment directly; spray towel and then wipe the equipment.
1.9 Equipment must be replaced if there are any concerns about the integrity or safety
of the equipment.
1.10 The equipment manager are responsible to determine if the equipment has been
damaged and requires replacement at the expense of the club.
1.11 Sport club equipment or equipment belonging to the Sports Complex must not be
loaned to the third parties who are not members of the club.
1.12 All equipment must be kept neat and organized.
1.13 Sport Clubs are not permitted to store personal belongings in the storage room.
1.14 It is highly recommended that sport club do not allow players to keep purchased t-
shirts as it is very difficult to track them down and they often go missing.
Equipment Inventory Records

It is required that any items belonging to the club must be stored in the Student Recreation and
Wellness Center

Equipment Room. These items will be secure in the Equipment Room and available for checkout to
Sport Club

officers only as needed. Maintaining updated inventory records enables you to be aware of current
and upcoming

needs so that you may plan for these items in your budget. All inventories must be turned in at the
end of the

year to sportclubs@bsu.edu.
