Turon is a Philippine snack made of thinly sliced banana, dusted with brown sugar, rolled in a

spring roll wrapper and fried until the wrapper is crisp. It is a well-known snack in the Philippines that
serves as one of the colorful culture in filipino cuisine. In addition, it is also an undeniable fact that this
Filipino snack is one of the most famous street foods in the country as it gives sweet, crunchy, and
satisfying taste.

I personally believe that we can show our nationalism and patriotism to this product through
patronizing and being proud of it. Patronizing Turon instead of foreign foods is a symbolism of us, being
nationalistic and/or patriotic due to the fact that we are supporting our country's own product.
Furthermore, showing nationalism and patriotism to turon is not just through patronizing it but also
through supporting those people who made this product because they are the main reason why there is
turon that gradually become one of those commendable delicacy that the Philippine have.

Taking everything into account, Turon is worth patronizing as it does not just shows us being
patriotic and/or nationalistic but also because it is made by Filipinos who are known for their being
creative and passionate. In my own point of view, there is always a room for being patriotic and
nationalistic even if it is through our culture, living, and even if it is through Turon.
