Reflections: Naqhi Ali Niazi

I was the group leader of this project. I was part of the project last year and so I was able to
help the boys who were part of eumind for the first time. I was the one to ask questions to
students of Elde while also asking the questions given by my group mates.
I found from this whole eumind project that women were never treated as equal to men ever
but they stood up and raised their voices to fight for their equal rights and freedom.
This project has made me understand the perspective of life of a woman and even an
employed woman. Misogyny has been a part of society for a long time and women have
tried their best to eradicate that, they have spread the message successfully that men and
women are not all that different. This was my most memorable learning of the whole project.
I learned skills such as time management and developing a bond and sharing mutual
interests with the students of another country. Personally I think most of the project went well
except the change I would ask for is that I would have interviewed a man and learned their
perspective as well on women empowerment. I would have preferred to collab or meet
students of another country as Elde was the school that was a part of this project the
previous years.
“You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a
generation.”
