CINDERELLA

So, you have chosen to rewrite ‘Cinderella’ from the STEPSISTERS’ point of view. You
can change it however you want but you must include at least three parts of the story :

1. We loved trying on pretty dresses while Cinderella did all the housework and
talked to her cat.
2. We were invited to the ball and became excited about meeting the Prince.
3. We went to the ball and saw a beautiful girl dancing with the Prince all night.
4. Suddenly, the girl ran away from the ball and the prince followed her.
5. Days later, the Prince came to our house with a shoe. He said he would marry
the girl who could wear it.
6. We couldn’t fit into the shoe but Cinderella did.

Think about:
What did you (the Stepsisters) think about yourselves? What did you think about
Cinderella before the ball? Why did you make her do all the work? How did you feel
when Cinderella got the Prince? What happened to them afterwards?

USEFUL WORDS
stepmother: a woman who is married to a child’s father (but not her/ his
real mother)

ball: a big party with music and dancing

marry: to become partners for life

carriage: a vehicle pulled by horses

squeeze: to try and make something large fit into something small
