HANSEL AND

GRETEL
So, you have chosen to rewrite ‘Hansel and Gretel’ from the WITCHS’ point of
view. You can change it however you want but you must include at least three
parts of the story :

1. I saw Hansel and Gretel eating my house.

2. I threw Hansel in the cage and made Gretel do the housework.
3. I cannot see very well.
4. I tried to feed Hansel lots of food but he never seemed to get fatter.
5. Gretel threw me in the oven and the children stole my treasure.

Think about:
What did you (the Witch) think about yourself? How was your life before the
children came along? How did you feel about the things they did? Why were you
feeding Hansel lots of food? How did you escape the oven?
