1. What is your understanding about the university is going to attain based on the VGMO?
Southern Leyte State University’s VGMO is an image of the future that we desire. It
serves as the cornerstone of our beloved institution. The dreams and goals of the
teachers and students are embodied in the university's VGMO. It gives students a sense of
purpose and direction of what the future may hold. It serves as a reminder for students
as to why they pursue higher education.
Based on SLSU’s VGMO, the university attains to be one of the leading higher education
institution not just in our country, but hopefully in the entire world. It aims to be
recognized for creativity and compassion for people, fostering an inclusive society and a
sustainable future. Everyone help each other to step up and grow as nobody should be
left behind. Everyone is recognized, respected and will be given privilege to continue
learning.
The university pledge to be environmentally friendly university that advances learning,
technological and professional instruction, research and innovation, community
engagement services, and forward-thinking leadership in the humanities, social sciences,
and technology that is pertinent to the needs of both local and global communities.
Overall, the university wants to accomplish to be a well-known institution that
cultivates graduates and lifelong learners who are competitive and well-versed in
knowledge that improves quality of life and stimulates economic growth.
