    To make gesso, mix 250g of water with 125g of white PVA glue, then whisk in 750g of calcium carbonate. For a white gesso, add 120ml of white paint to the mixture of 83g deionized water, 63g of a talc and calcium carbonate blend, and 104g of PVA glue, mixing properly. The full gesso mix is 1 part PVA glue, 2 parts distilled water, 6 parts calcium carbonate, and up to 300ml of white paint for a brighter white color.

    Water –250 g 9 ounces (cup and a half)


    PVA glue – white – 125g
    Mix water and PVA glue together. Good stir.
    Calcium carbonate – 750g
    Wisk it in.
    White -120ml

    Deionized water or boiled Water -83 g


    Talc and calcium carbonate blend - 63g
    Mix properly and whisk
    PVA GLUE/school glue – 104 g

    GESSO MIX
    1 part PVA Glue
    2 parts Distilled Water
    6 parts Calcium Carbonate (CHALK)
    White Paint upto 300 MLS or more for a brighter white
