I. Identifying Information

Program Title : A Training Design for a One-Day Orientation


Seminar among Grade Six Pupils of Mampalasan
Elementary School, Mampalasan, Bagtic, Mabinay,
Negros Oriental

Program Description : This is a One - Day Orientation –Seminar designed for


all Grade Six Pupils as mandated by the Schools
Division of Negros Oriental through Memorandum No.
101, s. 2020 to capacitate participants on the significant
and relevant information stipulated in RA 9710 known as
Magna Carta for Women and observance of the 2020
National Women’s Month Celebration, International
Women’s Day on March 8 and Women’s Week on the
first week of March.

Duration : 1 Day: Done in 1 class (March 06, 2020)

Management Level of Program : School Level managed by District-trained trainers on


Gender and Development

Delivery Mode : Face to face/Interpersonal Skills

Target Participants : Mampalasan Elementary School Pupils and Teachers


Number of Participants : 27 ( 20 Pupils and 7 Teachers)

II. Rationale
It is our hope to be safe and secure from any form of harm, violence and discrimination
in all places and in every step we take. That everyone has given equal opportunity and no one
has an advantage of the other male or female. As educators, we tried in every way we can to
teach our children their rights and responsibilities and to the school personnel as well. For
everyone to know about Gender and Development, and in compliance with RA 9710 otherwise
own as Magna carta of Women and observance of the National Women's Month, a school GAD
Orientation will be conducted to all Graduating Grade Six Pupils.

III. Objectives
At the end of the One -Day Training, the participants should be able to:
1. to gain knowledge on Gender Key concepts, gender sensitivity, gender
biases gender mainstreaming, Magna Carta of Women, sexual harassment,
reproductive health and personal hygiene.
2. to clarify topics/issues pertaining to gender and development.
3. to be gender sensitive, gender fair in dealing with other children in school and
in the community.

IV.End of Program Outputs


1. Learned Gender Key concepts, gender sensitivity, gender biases gender
mainstreaming, Magna Carta of Women, sexual harassment, reproductive
health and personal hygiene.
2. GAD relevant issues clarified
3. Gender - fair education is made evident among the participants

V. Expected Final Outcome/Success Indicator:


1. Provided Mampalasan Elementary School Grade Six Pupils and teachers a
thorough understanding about the Gender and Development
2. Identified and learned the key concepts of RA 9710 otherwise own as Magna
Carta of Women
3. Capacitated Mampalasan Elementary School Grade Six pupils on how to
effectively and efficiently perform the roles and responsibilities as citizens of
the Republic of the Philippines and as learners in the K to 12 Curriculum .
