Subject: Request for funds to register the 5th International Conference on Computing
and Informatics (ICCI’2022) in Egypt through online mode

I, SOMAVARAPU MOHAN KUMAR bearing Roll no. 20MCE209 pursuing an Ph.D

1nd year in Transportation Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur. I
am working on a research work titled “Advanced image processing-based approach for classified
traffic volume” under the guidance of Dr. Subhadip Biswas. I have completed my course work and
am carrying a CGPA of 9.5 CGPA till now. I had submitted one manuscript titled “Image
Processing-Based Vehicle Class Identification in Mixed Traffic” to the conference (ICCI’2022)
organized by Future University in Egypt and it has been accepted for the oral presentation.
Therefore, I have to register for the conference by paying a registration fee of $100 (approximately
Rs.7,488/-).
I request you to kindly provide me with the fund for registration on a reimbursement basis so that
I can attend the conference and present the accepted paper. Other necessary supporting documents
are attached with the application.

Hope you are doing well.
I am Somavarapu Mohan Kumar pursued a Doctorial degree in Transportation Engineering from
the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. I want to apply for the Post Doctorial
Research work and wanted to ask you if you could supervise me so that I could enhance my
research skills in your laboratory. Delft University of Technology has always been known for
good research and supporting students with proficient skills.
I have a good academic record of 9.5 CGPA in Masters and 9.29 CGPA in Bachelors degree of
Civil Engineering. In my Ph.D. dissertation, I have developed a novel Image-processing based
methodology for the automatic extraction of classified traffic volume data from the video file.
The application of these methodologies completely removes manual intervention and reduces the
extraction time by 50% approximately. Based upon this work, I have presented one research
paper at an IEEE International conference in Cairo, Egypt and two more papers are under review
in reputed peer-reviewed journals. Now, after the completion of Ph.D in May-2022, I want to
engage myself in research work where I can apply my Image-processing and Machine Learning
skills to solve complex state-of-the-art Traffic Engineering problems.

In this regard, I am looking for a supervisor and have come across your profile. I am intreseted in
doing quality research in the domain of Traffic simulation and Advanced data processing under
your supervision.
