Activity 1

Propose a title for a possible research and come up with at least three (3)
statements of the problem or arguments. Prepare an outline which would
determine the flow of your research. Using digital archives, prepare a
bibliography of the sources which you can use in your research. Classify your
sources according to type.

Activity 2
Get the original copy of your birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority
(formerly National Statistics Office) and discuss its (1) competence and ] impartiality in telling
the truth, (2) willingness in telling the truth and (3) adequacy of data that it conveys. What
other sources do you have at home do you think you can corroborate with your birth certificate?
What corroboration did you establish?

1. The birth certificate printed by the Philippine Statistics Authority only shows the correct and
accurate data about my birth. The records shown on the birth certificate came from the hospital
records where I was born. The data on the birth certificate also came from the papers that my
parents have shown when I was born. The birth certificate is the primary source of data about a
certain person born in this world. However, there are illegal workers who forge birth certificates
in order to create fake identities.
2. The birth certificate is very strict in holding its legitimacy. Since it is the primary source of
data and records about a certain human being, it holds all the facts about a person when he/she
was born. The birth certificate indicates the birth date, time, and place. It also includes the name
of parents of a person. The birth certificate of every human being in the world has a distinct code
or number which serves as the symbol of uniqueness of every record of birth in a country.
3. The data that every birth certificate conveys has an adequacy level of 100%. Birth certificate
is the primary source of legal data about the existence of one’s life. It needs to be as adequate as
possible to avoid conflicts. Valid IDs can corroborate with my birth certificate. They both
contain my identity as a person that lives in this country.

C. Findings/Conclusion
In your examination of the I came to the conclusion that Magdiwang and Magdalo's
sources, what did you find disagreement led to the meeting in Tejeros, which exacerbated
out? their conflict. Magdiwang does not fully get Magdalo's desire
for a new administration, while Magdalo desires one. Magdalo
eventually insisted that the election be held in Tejeros, and
based on his letter to Mariano Alvarez, it is clear that Bonifacio
is hoping to be chosen as the next president. However, his ally
claimed that Aguinaldo's supporters had misled him. Based on
Alvarez's writing, we can conclude that a name has already been
inscribed on the ballot papers. Overall, with the help of these
two books, I have realized that, despite being regarded to be
more reliable, "primary sources" are still prone to prejudice
because witnesses have different perspectives or viewpoints on
occurrences. To avoid "bias" like that seen in Agoncillo's work,
it is crucial that the foundation of our narrative be made up of a
variety of different statements. And in my opinion, Agoncillo's
story is far more credible than Alvarez's is because, despite the
fact that the former did not personally see any of the events, he
covered all the parties involved, creating a much more credible
story.
