To JYP Entertainment and Republic Records:

We, MIDZYs, are writing this statement to demand better promotion of ITZY’s first English single, ‘Boys
LIke You.”

We believe that JYPE and Republic Records has mismanaged the release of ‘Boys Like You by failing to
adequately promote the song in the following ways:

1. No advertisements have been released for ‘Boys Like You’ Music Video on YouTube
2. No promotion has been given on major US streaming platforms
● Apple Music: ‘Boys LIke You’ is not featured on the new music tab, even in the K-pop
category
● Spotify: ‘Boys LIke You’ has not been put on any official Spotify playlists, nor was there a
Spotify announcement about the release
● Amazon Music, Deezer and Tidal also have no promotions
3. Republic Records has not made arrangements for ‘Boys Like You’ to be played on US radio
4. No promotion has been given on live US TV shows or YouTube shows
5. Republic Records has failed to adequately share the release on social media
● One tweet about the release was made 50 hours after the initial announcement
● A second tweet shared the Music Video 16 hours after the release
6. ‘Boys Like You’ was announced only five days before the release
● This short lead-up gave no time to build excitement for the release

We hold that these specific reasons are directly responsible for hindering the commercial success of
‘Boys Like You.” We also hold that ITZY, as one of the most in-demand K-pop acts, is deserving of more
effort towards higher quality promotions on behalf of their labels, especially for a major release in their
career.

Thus, we demand that JYPE and Republic Records immediately collaborate to take action by remedying
the specific issues outlined above.

Thank you for your consideration and we expect to see evidence that JYPE and Republic Records are
actively taking steps to improve promotion for ‘Boys Like You.”

Sincerely,

MIDZYs
