My Hometown

My city is located in West Java, namely is Karawang. Karawang has many nicknames such as
the City of Pangkal Perjuangan, the City of Industry, and the City of Rice Barns. Karawang is
very strategic and has beautiful landscapes, ranging from mountains and very long beaches. In
addition, Karawang is very well preserved from culture, art, and history. Karawang has gone
through a lot of history of struggle until now it has become a metropolitan city. Karawang is
famous as the City of Struggles because in the Rengasdengklok area it used to be a silent witness
where the beginning of the independence movement of the Republic of Indonesia started from
Karawang.

In karawang there is also a Monument of Determination in the village of Rengasdengklok. Then

there are also historical relics in Karawang, there is the Soul Temple Site which is one of the
relics of Buddhism located in Batujaya. According to experts, the age is older than the
Borobudur Temple. In terms of art and culture, Karawang is proud to have a lot of culture and
art. One of the most famous and worldwide from Karawang is Goyang Karawang.

Karawang is also known as an Industrial City where many Industrial Estates are built and filled
by large companies. Karawang already has several large industrial estates such as the Karawang
International Industry City (KIIC), the Kawasan Mitra Karawang (KIM), the Surya Cipta Area,
the Indotaisei Area, and the Bukit Indah City area on the Cikampek route, with an area of
thousands of hectares. Karawang has the highest minimum wage in Indonesia. Karawang is also
the city with the largest salary in Indonesia, making many foreign investors choose to become
investors in companies established in industrial areas. With the nickname "industrial city" and
having many industrial areas, Karawang becomes a magnet to attract migrants from all over
Indonesia who are looking for work to come to Karawang, not even a few who choose to live
and settle in Karawang.

karawang is a beloved city. I live and I grew up there. A beautiful place that I will never forget,
wherever I go I will always remember and return to Karawang.
