Most Memorable Day of My Life

The happiest and the most memorable day of my life was our tour to Shillong. It was a family tour
with two of my friends Srijita and Stuti and their families. I was eight at that time. We enjoyed
ourselves a lot on that trip.
Early in the morning, we started our journey towards Kolkata airport. We booked a car that took us up
there. I could not sleep properly all night due to excitement. Finally, after completing all the checkup-
related work, we were able to board our flight. The main highlight for me was I flew for the first time
in my life. After one hour we reached our destination Guwahati. Then we booked a car to reach our
final destination Shillong. We were overwhelmed by the beautiful view of nature.
In the next morning and the weather was so chilly that we were freezing like a statue. We started to
visit local sight scenes like Shillong peak, Cherrapunji, Barapani, and other beautiful places. We were
amazed to see Nohkalikai falls which is one of the highest waterfalls in India. During the journey, the
clouds got into our car! It’s a sight; one can never forget.
The rest of the day, we went around a few small waterfalls and visited an ethereal Buddha shrine. We
also had a few fantastic local delicacies. The experience was soothing and calming. That day was well
spent and memorable.
