SUBJECT : CONDUCT OF INVENTORY/INVESTIGATION ON THE

ALLEGED ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WILDLIFE SPECIES
IN BRGY. GAMUTON, ALEGRIA, SURIGAO DEL NORTE

DATE : September 12, 2022

This pertains to the Biodiversity Management Bureau Memorandum received by this

office on September 12, 2022, regarding the alleged illegal possession of species posted on
Facebook by a certain Ms. Jovy Cusit and Ms. Hannah Sala James on September 1, 2022.

The alleged illegal possession of wildlife species, specifically Pit Vipers, is positively
identified to be owned by Mr. Rogelio Cusit Jr., which in antecedent, the issued Certificate of
Wildlife Registration (CWR) was already cancelled on November 5, 2019.

Concurrently, a letter is sent to Mr. Cusit, informing him of the matters alleged, the
conduct this office shall take, and as well requesting his full cooperation for the resolution of
this issue.

Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority of the CENR Officer, hereby mandates the
CENRO Enforcement Team (CET) of this office, in coordination with other enforcement
agencies, to conduct an Inventory/Investigation on September 13, 2022 on the alleged illegal
possession of wildlife species in Brgy. Gamuton, Alegria, Surigao del Norte, within the
proximate area of Mr. Rogelio Cusit Jr.

Further, CET shall submit a report together with the findings and observations on the
alleged illegal possession of Wildlife species. Furthermore, the CET shall undertake any
actions as deemed necessary, to appease the conduct of inventory/investigation, and for the
accomplishment of this purpose.
