REACTION PAPER ON THE RAIDERS OF THE SULU SEA

The film "The Raiders of the Sulu Sea"

is an hour-long historical documentary that was created in 2008. The movie shows how
the slave trade developed in Zamboanga, on the southern point of Mindanao, both
before and during the Spanish colonization. It involved the three Muslim tribes of the
Philippines—the Balangingi-Samal, the Lanuns, and the Sultanate—who were seen as
raiders or pirates. However, in terms of the movie, they weren't actually pirates who
seized ships in the harbor and sank them at sea. They were a kind of "hit and run"
robbery group that pretended to be a ship before capturing as many people as possible
to sell as slaves. Due to the raiders' boats, even the Spaniards were stumped as to how
to apprehend them. However, their dilemma was resolved when they requested three
faster and simpler to steer steamboats from England. Despite their defeat, the three
tribes demonstrated their strength of character and bravery by raiding and storming the
ten (10) meter-high Fort Pilar. The fact that they utilized cruelty to demonstrate their
bravery and might is indisputable, even though they did battle the Spaniard. that I don't
like.
The film may depict a variety of traits, including bravery and tenacity. However, I do not
enjoy the roughness. Demonstrated in relation to the slave trade enterprise that the
Sulu Sea raiders displayed. Trading in slaves is a trade in which one goes around seizing
individuals by force and selling them to someone, like some A kind of paid servant. Well,
as a student majoring in business administration, I just cannot disregard The act of
erasing those people’s human rights.
Apart than that, I essentially concur with what the video says. Despite the fact that it
was already mentioned, the bravery of these tribes was practically astounding. They
planned the raid on Fort Pilar very well, which I find to be fantastic.
However, these events might not have actually occurred as described. Considering that
we hadn't yet been born at that time. To know what actually transpired in our past, we
have no alternative except to believe what is written in books and study them more
diligently.
Section 4: Kartilya ng Katipunan By Emilio Jacinto

The Kartilya ng Katipunan was written by Emilio Jacinto to serve as guidance and a rule
book for the organization's members. Lessons that would make my life more moral and
ethical were the focus of the Kartilya. It resembled a code of conduct for how to behave
and speak like a real Filipino. I think this Kartilya ng Katipunan is a good example of
how to live a meaningful life. Every lesson is different since it focuses on a different area
of my life. The first emphasizes the significance of leading a life that has meaning.
There are 14 regulations in the Katipunan Kartilya. However, I can relate to the fourth
guideline, which encourages human equality. As a person and as a citizen of our nation,
I do believe that racism has persisted to the present day. It declares that a Katipuneros
is treated similarly regardless of race, skin tone, or Educational level. No one, Filipino or
not, rich or poor, man or woman, or someone of a different skin color, deserves to be
treated unfairly based on their financial circumstance or identity.
The third rule, in my opinion, is currently the most relevant given the pandemic we are
currently dealing with. The genuine definition of kindness is defined in the third rule. I
can detect connections between our front-line personnel and He is Katipuneros. Rather
than the other way around, a Katipunero's actual act of compassion is the love and
service he extends to others. Similar to how our front-line staff members serve us every
day while putting in a lot of time, effort, and sacrifice.
