I. Subject Matter:

B. Motivation: (5 minutes)
Video Clip: “Mother Earth Speaks”
What do you observe in the video clip presented?
What are the positive and negative changes in the environment?
C. Activity Proper
a. Activity (5 minutes)
Group Activity: Let the student choose at least 5 words related to environmental
issues that they think the top five significant current Environmental Issues. Let
each group present their output.
b. Analysis (5 minutes)
What are the things that you like doing when you were young?
Do you think environment plays a vital role in a person’s development? Why or
why not?
What are the other changes in nature that you have noticed in your local
communities?
c. Abstraction (10 minutes)
The teacher will introduce the 5 significant current Environmental Issues.
Discuss the 5 significant current Environmental Issues using power point
presentations.
1. Pollution
Water pollution is essentially cause by oil spills, urban runoff and ocean
dumping. Any physical or chemical change in water that adversely affects
the health of humans and other organisms
Air pollution rises from burning of fossil fuels, hydraulic fracturing and
gases emitted by vehicles. Water and soil pollution are majorly cause from
industrial waste.
2. Climate Change: is a broader term that refers to long-term changes in
climate, including average temperature and precipitation.
3. Global Warming: An increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s
atmosphere and oceans. Is the increase of the Earth’s average surface
temperature due to a build-up of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
4. Deforestation: Clearing earth’s forests on a massive scale.
5. Overpopulation - Causing all types of environmental issues.
d. Application (20 minutes)
(Group Activity) Poster – Making with a theme: “Save Mother Earth” by
demonstrating a solution on the issue they are assigned to.

III. Evaluation (5 minutes)
