Content Standards
The learners demonstrate an understanding of how representations are constructed in diverse media
types and how they converged.
Performance Standards
The learners shall provide an outline of media convergence in different areas by identifying the
different platforms and the convergence therein.
Learning Competencies
• Classify contents of different media types.

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the learners must be able to:
 Identify different types of media.
 Recognize the different types of media.
 Value the importance of types of media.

II. Subject Matter

A. Preparation ( 5 minutes)

(The teacher will call the student/s to recap the previous lesson) -3 minutes
B. Motivation: 4Pics in 1 Word
The teacher will present 4 different pictures and allow the students to guess the word.
Ask someone to guess the word.

C. Activity Proper:
Activity 1 Categorizing Media Format (Group Activity)

PRINT BROADCAST NEW MEDIA


Activity 2 Picture Analysis (Group Activity)
Using the same output each group will be given 3 minutes to synthesize the definition of
the different types media based on the images posted below the category.

D. Analysis (5 minutes)
 Which type of media you are fun of?

E. Abstraction (10 minutes)


The teacher will partially introduce the different types of media.

Types of media
Print Media
-media consisting of paper and ink, reproduced in a printing process that is traditionally mechanical.
Broadcast Media
- media such as radio and television that reach target audiences using airwaves as the
transmission medium.
New Media(Internet)
- content organized and distributed on digital platforms

F. Application
(The student will be grouped into 3 and let them think and create print media through
simple drawing radio presentation and TV ads and campaign to be presented in the class)

 The first group will create a print ad in their chosen product through drawing.
(Print)

 The second group will create a short radio presentation in their chosen product. .
(Radio)
 The third group will present a campaign ad about their chosen product .(TV)
IV. Evaluation
Write “P” for print media, “B” for broadcast media and “N” for new media.
